The phrase carries a personal legacy. “I Eat Pressure” was a phrase my late father used right before hitting the game-winning free throw in the 1965 I.M. Terrell basketball championship, coached by legendary coach Robert Hughes.
That moment represents more than a basketball game. It represents composure when the outcome is uncertain, preparation meeting opportunity, and the willingness to perform when the pressure is highest.
